Course descriptionThis innovative course reflects the growing local, national and international recognition of the fundamental role of the public affairs and lobbying industry as a bridge between government and the corporate environment (business, trade associations and the voluntary sector). Specifically it provides an understanding of public affairs and an insight into the nature of this increasingly important profession. The course is designed to explicitly develop vocational skills – backed up with rigorous academic theory.
During the course you will have the opportunity to study two core modules in public relations and public affairs, plus research methods and communication. Students are also able to take specialist option modules. This will allow you to tailor the course to your particular career aspirations and interests. The Masters dissertation allow each student the opportunity to independently investigate a key issue in depth
