  • Course description General information

    This course is for people who want to develop basic skills in IT and have no formal entry qualifications. The course will also develop your literacy and numeracy skills.

    Course content

    Units of study include:

        * Health & Safety
        * Information Technology
        * Introduction to Skills for work
        * Introduction to Word Processing
        * Introduction to Internet and E-mail
        * Introduction to Handling data.

    Teaching and assessment

    Teaching is done in a variety of methods, from teacher led classwork to individual and group work. Your teacher will give you feedback on your assignments and suggest improvements to bring out the best in you.

    Progression


    Progress will be monitored during the first 18 weeks, successful students can also supplement this IT qualification with Business skills. On successful completion, students could progress to the Introductory Diploma in IT at work.
