Course descriptionThis programme provides a flexible and diverse training in the Humanities tradition, and opens opportunities for a wide variety of careers. As well as providing a substantial grounding in modern history, the programme explores social and cultural change and examines what changing notions of society and culture tell us about history.
The degree offers a wide variety of courses in modern and early modern history, and includes opportunity for independent research and work placements. The programme will appeal to those with an interest in past societies and cultures, as well as to those who are interested in the evolution of contemporary understandings of society and culture.
