    For September 2020 and September 2021 entry:

    112-128 UCAS tariff points from 2 A-levels or equivalent qualifications. BTEC Extended Diploma: DMM.

    Numeracy and Literacy: GCSE English Language or Literature and Mathematics grade 4 (or grade C in the old grading system). We also accept iGCSEs, Key Skills and Functional Skills and other qualifications at Level 2 of the National Qualifications Framework.

    International entry requirements:

    For September 2020 and September 2021 entry: If English is not your first language you'll need IELTS (Academic) 6.0 with minimum 5.5 in each component or equivalent.

  • Course description
    This course, delivered at Wiltshire College & University Centre in Salisbury, is perfect for anyone who wants to make films. You’ll work on a range of productions including drama, documentary, music video and commercials developing key technical, creative and production skills. Taught by experienced industry professionals and academics, you’ll develop the skills needed to enter the competitive world of film and television. You’ll have access to broadcast digital cameras including the Sony FS7, film cameras such as Arriflex and Bolex, nonlinear edit suites, Steenbeck editing tables, location lighting, dollies and track. Over the course of your studies, you will learn camera, lighting, directing, producing, production management, scriptwriting, editing and sound recording skills. As well as shooting on digital, there are also opportunities to shoot on 16mm and 35mm film. You’ll also deepen your knowledge of film history and theory, and begin to develop contacts in the industry. Many students find the placement allows them to get their foot in the door and return to do paid work after graduation. Students have completed placements on Killing Eve, The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, The Rook, and at Panavision, Disney and the BBC. Many of our graduates have gone on to work on high profile and prestigious productions such as Mary Poppins, Death of Stalin, Dr Who, Red Joan, Slaughterhouse Rulez, Call the Midwife, Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Spectre, Paddington, Beauty and the Beast, and Londongrad.
