  • Objectives
    This course offers a balance between traditional academic study and the practical work offered by conservatoires. You will study musicology, composition, technology for music, theory and analysis and one optional subject from: Performance, Popular Music in Context or Music in the Computer Age. After that, you will be able to develop a specialism as a composer, performer, or musicologist, or maintain a broad range of subjects, including advanced theory and analysis, or practical topics such as conducting, scoring and arranging and improvisation.
  • Entry requirements
    Entry Requirements Typically 280-320 points including C in A level Music plus six further units of study (or equivalent). Candidates intending to offer instrumental or vocal performance must have reached at least the Grade 8 standard of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music at entry.
