• Objectives
  The course develops knowledge, understanding and ability of a range of counselling skills. You are encouraged to work collaboratively, developing therapeutic relationships that promote health and well-being. It provides an integrated model that responds to the client's unique cultural, environmental, psychological, spiritual and sociological constructs, respecting their individuality and rights to self-determination. It also acknowledges, values and utilises the wider health and social care provision available. It will contribute to your personal development as someone who utilises counselling skills and interventions in their employment.
• Entry requirements
  Entry Requirements 200-220 points including one 6-unit award. If you do not have GCSE English you will need to demonstrate competence in written English. You will usually have relevant work/life experience.

  As with any course of this nature a large element of personal exploration is required and a willingness to engage and work with a diverse group of peers. The British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Framework for Ethical Practice underpins the entire programme. You will also take part in two residential study periods, at an additional cost.There is also a requirement for counselling supervision, which incurs a cost.
