The course is designed to take a strategic business view of an enterprise and evaluate how e-business supports and enhances business processes within an enterprise and in its external relationships, in particular its value chain. The course is founded upon providing an understanding and application of the tools and models necessary for e-business and for its development. We emphasise practical applications as well as strategy, covering all the most important tools of e-business including web design, giving you the management skills to use them effectively.
This applied specialist course provides an opportunity for those wishing to develop, or enhance, a career in e-business to gain knowledge and understanding at Master's level.
You will gain experience of all aspects of e-business, including web design and application, enhanced by either project management or entrepreneurial applications, together with the management skills necessary for career progression in either large or small organisations. Teaching methods
We offer a varied programme of teaching which includes facilitated seminars, practical workshops, web-based learning, case study analysis and traditional lectures. We also provide sessions by visiting staff, practitioners and consultants to give a varied perspective of the topics covered.
You will be assessed through a variety of coursework including presentations, reports and projects. You will also be required to complete a dissertation and will be supported by a dissertation supervisor.
