This MA programme examines the relationship between ICT and education and looks at how learning can be effectively supported by ICT. It forms a basis for critical evaluation of research and development in the field and provides opportunities to analyse the practical applications of ICT within a range of educational settings.
As the course is taught online, you will gain practical experience of e-learning while you study. While many of our students study by distance, all students will work together in a virtual learning environment (VLE), so you will meet many different people even if you are working from home.
On completion of the programme you will have an understanding of the significance of ICT for education and will be able to relate the design and evaluation of materials to a range of learning approaches and practices.
Who is the course for?
The course is aimed at all those currently using ICT in educational settings, including teachers, trainers, user support staff, educational software developers, librarians and managerial staff.
It is not an ICT skills training or programming course and students are expected to have basic competence with ICT before starting the programme.
We welcome UK and international applicants.
