The Chinese Medical Institute and Register (CMIR) aims to raise the level of practice, education, and research of Chinese medicine and acupuncture to ensure its safety and effectiveness on a global scale. CMIR was founded in 2004 by the AcuMedic Foundation and the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. A member of the China Medical Council, it is dedicated to the modernisation of Chinese medicine and its proper integration into conventional mainstream medical practice.

It is one of the leading educational and professional organisations in the UK for promoting clinical excellence in Chinese medicine and acupuncture and has established several postgraduate programmes in the UK in conjunction with leading Chinese universities, in order to fully educate and qualify practioners in Chinese medicine and syndrome acupuncture.

CMIR courses are sponsored by the AcuMedic Foundation, the foremost Chinese medicine treatment and education centre in the UK. Using the latest training facilities and practices, students are taught by AcuMedic’s highly qualified team of doctors and clinical consultants, all of whom have extensive knowledge of both Chinese and Western medicine and many years’ experience in their chosen fields.
