This unique distance learning course combines the inclusive theatre experience of the innovative Chicken Shed Theatre Company with the teaching expertise of Middlesex University. It is designed for individuals or companies who wish to embrace the Theatre Company¿s vision and practice by staging inclusive theatre. The Chicken Shed Theatre Company has been at the cutting edge of inclusive practice for over twenty years, gaining worldwide plaudits. You will be introduced to a new philosophy of theatre that has applications far beyond the boundaries of the performing arts.

Special features:

-Web-based discussion groups and online tuition available 
-Suitable for international students wanting to develop inclusive theatre in their own country
-The 60 credit points gained from this course can be counted towards a postgraduate diploma (120 credit points) or an MA (180 credit points) in lifelong learning
-Led by staff who are actively involved in inclusive theatre production.

Programme Content:

Units consists of a self-study document which includes activities, both practical and theoretical, and a range of varied tasks from which the student can select the most appropriate for their personal context. You will receive support resources, including both video and audio tapes, to which individual units will make reference.

Attendance

As this is a distance learning course, you don¿t have to attend classes. However, we would recommend you attend as many Chicken Shed Theatre productions as you can, and we also hold a summer school in July which is an excellent time for students to visit
