    The course offers a varied field of themes and subjects examined from different theoretical viewpoints, including:

    -The history and development of media and culture in different contexts
    -Critical, and ethical perspectives on media and culture
    -The critique of professionalism
    -Contemporary issues in global media
    -Minority and oppositional media
    -Media arts and new technologies
    -Methodologies in media and cultural research.

    As a postgraduate student, you will develop your own projects and areas of special interest. Tutorials support your programme of lectures and seminars. There will be screenings and presentations of significant and innovative work in a wide range of media forms. Professionals and academics working at the highest level in their chosen fields act as tutors and visiting teachers. International links with professionals and researchers will be strenuously developed.

    Entry Requirements

    Graduates of all disciplines may apply. You should be socially aware, culturally informed and passionate about a career in the media and culture industries or in associated areas of education and research. Relevant professional or work experience is strongly welcomed. At interview, you will discuss your motivation for undertaking the course and discuss those aspects of international media and cultural practice that most interest you.
