    Entry requirements You should have: -a good honours degree from a recognised Higher Education institution, or an equivalent academic qualification from an equivalent overseas institution -three years' work experience with managerial responsibilities -If you do not have a first degree, certain professional qualifications, combined with management experience, may be sufficient. Candidates may be interviewed prior to acceptance. If English is not your first language, you will also need to demonstrate your English language proficiency. For example you should have either: -A minimum grade of 6.5 overall on the British Council English Language test (IELTS) -A TOEFL score of at least 600 (written scale) or 250 (computer scale)

    Our MBA (Global Operations) is ideally suited to those with a career ambition towards global business environments, as it enables a wider exposure to contemporary issues in the management of operations of a variety of organisation types in all sectors of industry and economy.

    This variant provides deeper insights into forms of global operations such as complex projects and programmes, outsourcing, alliances and networks and associated managerial concerns.

    The curriculum is underpinned by cutting-edge research and latest thinking on effective policies and practices related to the governance of global operations, risk appraisal and management, sustainability, procurement and supply chain management, logistics, communication and inter-organisational relationships in complex operations. A related study trip to a region outside the UK is an integral part of the Bristol Business School’s MBA (Global Operations).

    You can choose to study for the MBA (Global Operations) by joining either a full-time MBA course or part-time MBA by block release (in blocks of four days) while continuing to work.The programme offers full-time students the flexibility of returning to work after the taught part of the programme and conducting a collaborative dissertation with an organisation.

    Building on the expertise developed in the six core MBA modules, you will study two electives specialising in Global Operations, write a dissertation based on Global Operations and add additional courses as required.     -Leadership and Change (organisational behaviour, culture, leadership and change management)
    -Strategy (context, content and the process of strategy for delivering sustained performance)
    -Project Management – Executive (strategic decision making related to selection, forecasting, risk appraisal, procurement and control of complex projects, and advanced management methodologies and specific skills suitable for an effective coordination of work and relationships in a variety of project environments)
    -Risk and Sustainability in Global Operations (the key managerial challenges of reconciling risks, environmental responsibility, business growth and care for society in company operations in the context of multiple stakeholders expectations,  cultural diversity and fast changing market and economic conditions.)
    -Development of personal skills

    Personal Development Process (PDP) is an integral part of our MBA programme which aims to encourage and support reflective learning and confidence in setting and achieving personal goals.     Teaching and learning
    MBA (Global Operations) academic staff are highly experienced and internationally recognised scholars connected to a strong industrial network. Traditional lectures will only be one part of your course.     Assessment is by a mixture of work-based assignments (supervised mini projects), examinations, presentations/vivas and the dissertation.
