    MPH: 12 months full-time; 24 months part-time   

    This programme is designed to provide you with a thorough grounding in the principles and practice of public health whilst maintaining a broad-based approach. It equips graduates to pursue a career in public health within a wide variety of professional disciplines. The programme follows a flexible and innovative curriculum and enables you to study under the supervision of some of the leading experts in public health.  Graduates are enabled to develop careers around a broad range of disciplines including health improvement, social work, community development as well as medicine and dentistry.

    Content

    There are four taught core courses

        * Principles of public health  
        * Introduction to statistics
        * Introduction to research methods
        * General epidemiology.

    You will also undertake five elective courses from a broad range of topics including: population health; environmental health; qualitative research methods; health economics, social sciences applied to public health; international health; advanced statistics; advanced epidemiology.

    You are also required to carry out a research project on a public health topic
