    This course will suit you if you are currently working within the creative industries and are looking to develop your academic career by gaining a recognised and respected qualification for the work that you are currently involved in.

    The course design provides a great deal of flexibility and incorporates a student-centred approach, with activities based around your own interests and work requirements. Thus offering career development in the workplace whilst supported by the University.

    This course is very individual as it will be tailored to suit you and your particular needs. In order to enable you to create your own course, you will undertake a Learning Management unit that will help you to design your study pathway. You will also undertake a significant project, probably based at your place of work.

    This programme will take one year of full-time study.

    During the course, you will

    -analyse current problems and/or new insights, informed by your field of study or area of professional practice
    -demonstrate comprehensive understanding of techniques applicable to your own research or advanced scholarship
    -show originality demonstrating the application of knowledge, together with a practical understanding of how established techniques of research and enquiry are used to create and interpret knowledge in the discipline
    -show an understanding of future trends in your area of study, including an appreciation of entrepreneurship and the changes within creative and cultural industries, in both small and large organisation
