To equip the student with a sound knowledge and understanding of a broad range of topics in forensic psychology in such a way as to provide a sound basis for further professional training and practice.
Entry requirements A good first degree (upper second or above) or other qualification recognised as providing the Graduate Basis for Registration of the British Psychological Society. Some relevant work experience (voluntary or otherwise) is also required.

Teaching and assessment methods
Teaching is through lectures and seminars. Students can gain some limited practical experience on a short placement in a forensically related setting (prison, regional secure unit, local police etc.). Each module is assessed by written assignments including a placement report and a research dissertation.
