    This fascinating course considers the application of theory and recent research findings to contemporary work situations - it aims to provide personal development in the context of your own work environment You will be challenged to become effective facilitators of others, learning how to develop yourself and those for whom you may be responsible The course is designed to acquaint you with psychological perspectives on management issues, and to develop a range of transferable skills which will be relevant to a wide range of occupations Teaching consists of small-group lectures and discussions, some lab-based training, and individual tutorials - assignments are assessed using a variety of methods, from essays, research reports and tests to presentations You will be able to use our modern, well-equipped research laboratories for data collection, as well as accessing our Learning Centre with excellent stocks of relevant books and journals - find out more about our psychology facilities, which are among some of the most advanced in UK higher education By the end of the course, you should have obtained the following skills: ability to critically analyse work situations; improved problem-solving abilities; research awareness and critical evaluation of research findings; competencies in statistics and/or qualitative analyses; ability to apply research methodologies to work-based investigations
  • Entry requirements
    Normally, you should have a good Honours degree or equivalent, and at least a year’s work experience – substantial professional experience may be considered as a substitute for graduate status We look for graduates with an Honours degree in any subject You should also have a good standard of written and spoken English (IELTS 6.0 or equivalent)
