Entry requirements An undergraduate degree in psychology plus a professional qualification in clinical psychology. Note that UK-qualified clinical psychologists should apply for the MSc/PgDip in Clinical Neuropsychology.
This programme provides academic teaching in clinical neuropsychology and is designed for those with a qualification in clinical psychology who want to develop specialist knowledge in the area of neuropsychology. The MSc differs from the PgDip by addition of a research component, including specialist research methods teaching. The programme is taught by some of the UK's leading clinicians and academics working in the field of neuropsychology, neurosciences and neuropsychological rehabilitation.
Content
The academic programme is delivered as eight courses including:
* Contexts and perspectives in clinical neuropsychology
* Professional issues in research design
* Neurosciences
* Epilepsy, seizure and sleep disorders
* Acquired brain injury
* Degenerative neurological disorders
* Stroke
* Paediatric neurological disorders.
Teaching includes sessions on therapy, assessment and rehabilitation of all major forms of cognitive impairment arising from neurological disorders.
