    Entry requirements Normally you need a good honours degree in computing or a related discipline and at least one year’s relevant work experience. If you do not have a good first degree, we will consider your application if you have extensive work experience and other formal and professional qualifications.     We have a long and successful tradition of delivering courses for career-minded professionals. As part of that tradition, we designed this course for IT professionals at an early stage in their career.

    You study database technology and gain relevant professional skills in one of these areas. We combine Oracle certification training with masters level education.

    As part of the course you
    • study modules in database technology
    • study general IT and management modules
    • take Oracle training, which we combine with particular modules
    • can take associated Oracle examinations and become an Oracle Certified Associate (OCA)

    The taught modules allow you to

    Towards the end of the course, you study a research module and do a research project leading to your dissertation.
