Course Modules
Core modules are:
- Matlab Programming and CAD
- Modelling and Classification of Data
- High-reliability Embedded Systems
- Robust Control
- Project
Option Modules (three from the following):
- Design of Discrete Systems
- Real-time Signal Processing
- Introduction to Biomedical Engineering
- Non-Linear Control
Option Modules (one from the following):
- Dynamics of Mechanical Systems
- Advanced Engineering Dynamics
Teaching and Assessment Methods
Modules are taught using lectures and seminar sessions and are supported by a range of structured practical and laboratory work. Performance in modules is assessed by means of open and closed examination papers and a range of continuously assessed work. All MSc students are required to produce a dissertation which includes the results obtained in the individual project module
