    This progressive and integrated course incorporates biological and social sciences, clinical sciences, health policy and research methods. We take a problem-based approach to learning, which includes opportunities to share learning with students from other allied health professions. We promote teamwork and an appreciation of how other disciplines contribute to health care.

    Course structure
    University-based modules of study precede practice placements, which occur during the summer period. Modules focus on occupational performance, complex interventions, professional development for practice, designing research projects and a major project.

    There is a diverse range of employment opportunities available for graduate occupational therapists. They work in all areas of health and social care, in schools and for voluntary agencies. They also work closely with other professionals such as doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, psychologists and social workers.
