    Entrance Requirements A primary degree in Pharmacy from an institution approved by the University. All students must have: • Two year post-registration experience, • The support of their sponsoring organisation, • Identified a designated medical practitioner prior to commencing the course.     Course Content
    Six taught modules:

    -Developing a Treatment/Clinical Management Plan
    -Disease Management
    -Clinical Examination Skills and Patient Monitoring
    -Evidence-based Practice and Clinical Governance
    -Influences on Psychology of Prescribing
    -Legal, Policy, Professional and Ethical Aspects

    Plus 12 x 7.5 days in-practice training with a designated medical practitioner.

    Assessment
    Assignments, OSCE and practice portfolio.

    Funding
    Funded by DHSSPS.

    Opportunities for Careers
    Pharmacists who complete this programme are eligible to register as a Independent Prescriber with the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain.
