    Entry requirements Entry requirements for applicants to the PGCE Primary with QTS are as follows; * A first degree from a UK university (or equivalent qualification) * English Language, Mathematics and Science GCSEs (or equivalent) with grade C or higher * A satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau (or, for candidates from overseas, the equivalent level of clearance). You must also be able to demonstrate that you have good communication skills in spoken and written English, and meet the Secretary of State's requirements for physical and mental fitness to teach. All of the above will be taken into consideration in judging whether you have the capability to meet the required Professional Standards for the award of Qualified Teacher Status, as specified by the DfES/TDA.
