    The course is designed to provide advanced post-graduate education for both graduates and practicing engineers in the current theory and practice of process systems engineering. Both technical and managerial aspects of process systems are covered. Material presented in the course modules deals with the design, operation, optimisation and control of a wide range of process plants employed in oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical, pharmaceutical, water, power and food and drink industries.

        * Use the techniques appropriate for the management of a modern process plant.
        * Apply the principles learnt to the design and operation of components used within process systems.
        * Apply the principles learnt to the design, instrumentation and control of process systems.
