    COURSE INFORMATION
This new three year part time Masters programme is offered to the region's property and construction professions to facilitate the updating of their knowledge base to meet the challenge of the new low carbon society. The programme will major on low carbon design and technologies but it will also engage the student in the processes and practices of creating sustainable communities.

The programme will use innovative IT delivered distance learning modules and work based learning to limit attendance at University to one afternoon per week over two 15 week semesters per year. This programme design will allow students to fit their learning around busy work and family commitments. The assessment has a strong emphasis on project work and individual research, there are no examinations. As there are significant work based elements to the programme it is essential that students have wholehearted employer support so that the workplace can be used as a learning resource.
