  The amenity horticultural profession has become increasingly complex. The industry is demanding graduates with strong management and technical competencies, scientific and environmental policy understanding and the traditional skills of cultivation. The profession also requires an acceptance and understanding of the important contribution that horticulture can make to conserving the environment.
