Recent guests of the Faculty have included poets Patience Agbabi and Joolz Denby, children?s writers Pippa Goodhart and Linda Newbery; novelists John Crace, James Kelman and Alan Sillitoe; graphic novelist Alan Moore; crime writer Jane Adams; dramatist Alan Drury and scriptwriter Andrew Davies.

Students develop skills in oral presentation and publication (through desk-top publishing or new media).

First and second year modules focus on themes (e.g. identity, place) and skills, allowing work in a range of genres. This prepares final year students for work on an individually supervised portfolio in the form or forms  of their choice.

This joint honours degree allows students to gain complementary skills and knowledge in another discipline.
