    Programme

Students are introduced to a variety of disciplines in levels One and Two that provide the knowledge base and skills for understanding contemporary health and social care: biology; sociology; psychology; health management; research and health improvement. Level 3 offers students a range of options to enable areas of particular interest to be explored (counselling, gender, ethnicity, interprofessional working, social exclusion and globalisation). Students have the opportunity to undertake a research project on a topic of specific academic or vocational interest. The flexibility and choice available at Level 3 enables students to assemble a course of study that is geared to exploring their interests and future career ambitions.

A key message from student feedback is the importance of the supportive learning environment they experience. This environment is nurtured by a committed team of experts, many of whom also have considerable experience of working in health and social care.
