    -This is a flexible programme of study, which covers the new revised curriculum of the Royal College of Psychiatrists for doctors in training.
    -We also offer a Postgraduate Certificate and Postgraduate Diploma in Mental Health Studies.

    This course offers a wide range of optional modules to reflect the needs of the wide range of students taking the course.

    Once you have completed the taught components of this course, Masters students undertake a research and dissertation module to build on the skills you have developed during the earlier stages of the course.

    Your individual project should be a relevant, original investigation or development related to the field of mental health, which must be submitted as a written dissertation.

    Course Structure

    The MSc in Mental Health Studies can be completed over one year of full-time study or over three years part-time.

    The course comprises 180 credits in total, split across 120 credits’ worth of taught modules and a 60-credit research dissertation.

    Diploma students study 120 credits' worth of taught modules. Certificate students study 60 credits' worth.
