BA History and Law

  • Objectives History and Law are subjects which have very similar working methods. There has been a long tradition of students doing a first degree in History and then proceeding to a legal career at postgraduate level. This course allows you to pursue both disciplines independently, bringing them together in your final year dissertation. It is not a qualifying law degree but does give partial exemption from Law Society and Bar requirements. You will be able to qualify more quickly than those who do a History, or other degree followed by the postgraduate course.
  • Entry requirements Entry Requirements Normally two 6-units to include a C in History or Law and an overall score of 280 points. We welcome applicants who pass a relevant accredited Access course or possess other evidence of potential to successfully complete degree-level work.
