BA Humanities

  • Objectives This degree combines four different disciplines: English Literature, History, Politics and Sociology. All students follow a foundation level curriculum which introduces them to all four disciplines and alongside two interdisciplinary core modules which help develop skills needed for interdisciplinary academic study. In the subsequent levels, students are able to combine modules from between two and four of the discipline areas to suit their interests and career aspirations.
  • Entry requirements Entry Requirements For A level applicants we require 260 Points. The course attracts a substantial number of mature students. We welcome mature applications without standard entry requirements, provided they can show acceptable evidence of their suitability for the course.

  • Course description Graduates have entered a wide range of career areas in recent years. These include teaching, journalism and the media, public relations, local and national government, the police and armed forces, the voluntary sector, business management and legal training.
