    Programme

    -In Year 1, your choice of study topics covers chemistry for biosciences, the form and function of the human body, and disease prevention and treatment. Human physiology is considered, as is infection and immunity. The course investigates molecules and cells in health and disease, and includes professional studies in healthcare science.
     
    -Year 2 examines themes such as the biology of disease, and principles of disease investigation. It introduces biomedical science practicals, as well as key aspects of immunology, and integrated physiology and metabolism.
     
    -In Year 3 you can either take up an optional work placement or move directly to your final year, which offers a choice of modules including: Advanced Topics in Healthcare Science; Cellular Pathology; Clinical Biochemistry; Clinical Immunology; Evidence-based Practice; Haematology and Transfusion Science; Honours Project; Human Development; Medical Genetics; and Medical Microbiology and Public Health.
