BSc Forensic Science

  • Objectives This fascinating course explores the use of analytical procedures in Forensic Science. The course will train you to carry out a range of biological, chemical and criminalistics procedures in a safe, competent and reliable way. You will also gain the knowledge needed to appreciate the proper application of forensic science and bioanalysis in the modern world. With the growing demand for analytical expertise, our graduates will be able to apply for posts in a wide range of employment, not only forensic science laboratories.
  • Entry requirements You should have GCSE English and Mathematics at grade C or above (or equivalent), plus 160 points from two or more A-levels, including Biology and either Chemistry or Science; or 160 points from two A-levels (Applied subjects) in Science; or a BTEC National Diploma in Science with MMP and at least four merits in the final year, excluding common skills. Entry from appropriate Foundation and Access courses will also be considered.

    For Single Honours you take

    Eight modules at each level. Joint Honours involves four modules from each level in Forensic Science, plus four from your other subject. You may also choose a Major/ Minor combination after level 1.
