  • Course description General information

    This course is for people who are new to personnel management and are looking to develop their skills in this area.  It is advisable that participants work within a personnel or related function.  The course is structured to enable you to understand and apply the principles and techniques of personnel management and develop relevant interpersonal skills.

    Tutors have practical experience of personnel management which ensures the course content is relevant to the workplace.

        * Recruitment and Selection
        * Training and Development
        * Performance Management
        * Employee Relations


    Studies are over three terms on a part-time modular basis, including a two-day sequential training event

    Teaching and assessment

    There are four aspects to the asessment programme, which is carried out by the college tutors:

        * Two written and two skills based assignments
        * An individual work related project
        * A two-day sequential training event
        * A Learning Log/Continuous Professional Development Record
