Entry requirementsWho is this course for? For people aged 18 or over who have A-level or Advanced Vocational Certificate or adults aged 21 or over who have completed a preparatory art and design course, and who want to study to degree level. What do I need to get on the course? You should have a portfolio of work and have achieved one of the following levels of qualification: * One A-level and three GCSEs (grades A-C) * A-levels and two GCSEs (grades A-C) * or five GCSEs at (grades A-C). Other acceptable qualifications are, for example, a degree, a BTEC National Diploma, GNVQ Advanced, or overseas qualifications.For mature students (age 21 or over) only. Course descriptionWhat is this course about?
This is a course to teach students to be independent thinkers and designers in preparation for a degree in the subject of their choice or a diploma in a vocational subject such as pattern cutting or tailoring. The course is arts and design but based around textiles and fashion. Good drawing skills are required as is a strong commitment to work in this area.
