Course descriptionThis is a two-week course designed for those wishing to learn basic professional skills up to special occasion and bridal level.
The course covers: Product awareness, hygiene, tools of the trade, client counselling techniques, skin analysis, face shapes, different colour skins, eyebrow shaping, colour correcting (understanding the colour wheel) highlighting, the correct use of concealers, the choosing & application of foundation, the application & blending of eye make-up, eye liners and false lashes.
Working in a professional make-up studio environment there is a good balance of demonstration and hands-on work.
A working log of your work during your course is required, along with a short research plan and simple business plan.
You will have the opportunity to complete your practical assessments within the duration of the two-week course. The written pieces of work needed to complete the qualification have to be submitted within one month of completing the course.
