Following this they undertake a housing practice placement for a twelve month period, commencing in February. The following February they return for a further semester, taking a range of core and option modules, and completing a dissertation by September. The supervised work placement is primarily spent with the sponsoring organisation and will provide the relevant practical experience required for corporate membership of the CIH.

2-year Part-time Programme: For the part-time programme, Students are normally sponsored by their employing organisation. Students are expected to attend University on a day release basis, September - June, over two years and should anticipate spending 40 days at the University in the first year of study and 42 days in the second year. This includes day release, examinations, attendance on the annual induction programme for new and returning students and a number of half-day seminars in the second year in preparation for the test of professional practice.
