    Content details
    This course provides a good foundation for a future in the computer industry, and will give a good practical introduction to how a computer works. This course consists of six units of study which include maintaining equipment and systems, customer support, installing and configuring equipment and operation systems and system testing. Opportunities will be given to diagnose and repair faults on PC equipment and you will be instructed in the safe methods of installing and configuring both hardware and software. There will also be opportunities to develop your communication and number skills. On successful completion of this course you will be awarded a certificate of IT Practitioners (ICT Systems Support).

    How is the course taught
    The course is delivered through lectures and a substantial time in practical workshops to ensure you gain a solid foundation in networking skills and knowledge.

    Assessment
    Assignments, work-related projects, practical activities and the A+ on-line exam.

    Course leads to
    CISCO Networking course or our Level 3 Networking full-time course. Alternatively, some may be able to apply for placement work or employment as a computer technician.
