    This programme draws on the expertise of leading scholars in the fields of Hebrew Language, Bible and Second Temple Judaism, Rabbinic Literature, Jewish Law, Jewish Philosophy, Jewish-Christian Relations, and Modern Jewish History who teach In the fields of Religions and Theology, Middle Eastern Studies or Government. Students can specialise in Judaism in antiquity or in the modern world or mix courses from all periods.

    Module details

    The subject core course unit is typically Sources, Resources and Methods in the Study of Judaism. This is complemented by a School-led core course unit which gives students the opportunity to acquire a variety of research and presentation skills.Typical optional course units include: Being Jewish in Britain, Holocaust Theology, Jewish Law: History, Authority and the Problem of the Agunah, Jewish Philosophy in the 20th Century.
