MA Adaptation

  • Course description

This one year full-time or two year part-time Master's degree explores adaptation; the creative process of moving between different art forms or different media.

On this dynamic and innovative MA, students will study critical and theoretical approaches to the study of Adaptation in its historical, creative and institutional contexts. Traditional literary approaches to adaptation such as Shakespeare and Jane Austen will be studied alongside more innovative and contemporary media such as animation, web-based narratives, film, television and radio in a Media School setting that combines academic theories with a range of newer approaches.
