MA Gender Studies

  • Academic title MA Gender Studies
  • Course description MA Gender Studies
Each of the Gender Studies taught postgraduate programmes is offered at both Masters and Postgraduate Diploma level. Masters students complete a 15-20,000-word dissertation. Diploma candidates do not write a dissertation.

A completed Masters degree involves taking modules to a total of 180 credits over the period of study, normally one year for full-time students and two years for part-time students, starting in September. Modules are of varying length, and credits per module range from 10 to 60. The number of modules that a student takes therefore depends on the combination of modules chosen, given the modules' credit values.

Each of the following course outlines relates to the typical pattern of full-time study. Different and more flexible patterns of study are, of course, available to part-time students.
