Objectives To give you an advanced understanding of contemporary theory and practice in screen translation studies. To develop your awareness of cultural issues related to screen translation. To develop your awareness of the requirements of the screen translation profession. To give you the necessary technical knowledge and skills to enable you to work in the specialised area of screen translation.
Entry requirements Entry requirements A 2:1 degree or equivalent in a relevant subject such as languages, linguistics or literature. Students should have an excellent knowledge of English and at least one other language. If your first degree has not been studied in English, then you should have IELTS 7.0 with 6.0 in each component.

This MA is designed to give students the opportunity to understand in depth the theory and practice of Screen Translation, and to relate theory to practice in practical subtitling projects.
