    Introduction

Masters Programmes are now a well-established career entry route for undergraduates in Business and Management who wish to further develop their knowledge and skills. Also, students from other subject areas who want or need business knowledge as an adjunct to specialist knowledge in their fields will find these courses attractive. The School offers new postgraduate courses in Management and International Business starting in September 2008. These courses take advantage of the latest developments in organisations and research to offer critical insights into the theory and practice of modern management and international business. They offer opportunities for students to assess real organisations and use work placements in these organisations both in the UK and the Netherlands as a basis for their dissertation research.

You will start preparatory work towards your dissertation or internship (see below) with a series of research methods seminars.

    study of an enterprise.

Dissertation - All students will be required to write a research-based dissertation in an area of choice on an approved topic related to the pathway they have chosen, or write a report based on an in-company internship.

The qualifications these programmes will bring will give you an edge in the job market either enabling you to compete more effectively
with traditional graduates with a first degree, or enabling you to enter management at a higher level than you would have been able
