MBA (specialism in Information Technology Management)

  • Entry requirements You will normally need: * a minimum of three years’ relevant managerial or professional experience, together with a good degree (or GPA equivalent); or * a relevant postgraduate/post-experience qualification from a recognised university or college; or * a professional qualification that is regarded as equivalent to a degree, from an approved and recognised body. Two written references (normally one academic) are also required. Applicants whose first language is not English must also demonstrate that their level of English is high enough to study at postgraduate level, by achieving a score in a recognised test such as: * IELTS level 6.5 – with a minimum of 6 in reading and writing. * TOEFL score of 575 or above (paper-based), or 233 or above (computer-based), or 90 or above (internet-based). It is possible to enter this programme on the basis of managerial experience rather than as a graduate. We normally seek a minimum of seven years’ relevant managerial or professional experience.
  • Academic title MBA (specialism in Information Technology Management)
  • Course description MBA

Accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA)

The impact of information technology is increasingly apparent in all spheres of business activity. The MBA (specialism in Information Technology Management) aims to combine the very best of a general MBA with further specialist knowledge in the area of information technology management. It is equally attractive to students who already have a background in this subject area and those who have a more limited knowledge.

This specialism can be taken with the full-time or executive modes of study offered on the core MBA programme, subject to your ability to attend specialist IT electives taught on campus at Oxford Brookes during the week (for current timetable, please contact the programme administrator). All managerial specialisms include an elective programme and dissertation or consultancy project in your chosen area, but the degree title remains MBA.
