    Programme

    The Level 1

    Core modules act as academic building blocks and provide opportunities for skill development. You will be introduced to perspectives that will enable you to analyse organisations and the environment within which they operate:

    Business Communications
    Business Information Systems
    People and Organisations
    Accounting and Finance Fundamentals
    Business Data Analysis
    Law, Business and Society
    Introduction to Marketing

    Level 2

    The core modules provide an opportunity for you to understand how businesses operate and are resourced. Your management skills of enquiry, analysis, decision-making and reflection are further developed. The programme is flexible and you may choose to specialise in one area for a specific award or study more widely for the business award. Consultation with tutors ensures a programme of study best suited to your abilities and personal career interests. Opportunities open to you include spending a semester studying abroad as we have active links with universities in Australia, China, France, Germany and the US. You may take up an optional work-placement for a year. The Campus Placement Officer will work with you to find a placement in your field of interest.

    The core modules focus your enquiring, critical and reflective approaches to pervasive issues challenging contemporary business at a strategic level such as sustainability, globalisation, creativity and innovation. You have the opportunity to complete a major project investigating an issue of your choice; coupled with a wide range of specialist modules, this project provides a launchpad for your future career.
