    Programme

This course provides students with the opportunity to design and realise innovative textiles and accessories for the body. You will explore image, placement, colour and textile materials in the broadest context possible throughout the course.

There is a strong emphasis on visual research and interpretation. All design work will be underpinned with a diverse range of textile and fashion skills. This will include access to the Faculty's CAD suites and digital and screen print processes. You will explore knitted and woven techniques, machine, digital and surfaced fabrics, prototyping, 3-D development and fashion illustration. Through the diverse skill base, students will be encouraged to produce experimental and highly individual work to adorn the body. They will work to external and competition briefs to produce contemporary and contextual design, as well developing self-negotiated briefs for ground breaking unique work.
