• Objectives
  This is an integrated, multidisciplinary course that aims to provide a general education in the socio-economic, political and cultural processes that shape our lives, and in the scientific and philosophical methods that make our understanding of these processes possible. You will come to understand the inherently ethical basis of all human thought and action, including your own. You will be provided with a critical understanding of social and cultural modernity, covering politics and economy as well as communications and cultural studies. The Schools strong research base and thriving alumni community help maintain links with employers and city institutions.
• Entry requirements
  The current requirement is 200 UCAS points or equivalent. You should also have GCSE grade C or better, or equivalent, in English Language. Above all, we would expect you to demonstrate, more usually at interview, a strong interest in the aims and objectives of the course.
