Objectives
This course integrates academic study and hospital training to help you acquire biomedical scientist knowledge, skills and competences, supporting career development in pathology. You gain extensive technical competence in working laboratories as well as studying non-pathological and pathological life processes. You are eligible for Registration as a Biomedical Scientist with the HPC (Health Professions Council) on graduation.
Entry requirements
You should also have GCSE English and Mathematics at grade C or above (or equivalent). You are normally expected to achieve one of the following: at least 220 points from two or more A-levels, including biology and chemistry or science; or at least 220 points from two Applied A-levels in science; or a BTEC National Diploma in Science with MMP and at least five merits in the final year, excl. common skills. Those with relevant Foundation and Access courses will be considered
