    Programme

    -Year 1 offers a solid introduction to animal biology and microbiology. It covers biochemistry, cell biology and genetics, and chemistry for biosciences. It explores human disease prevention and treatment, plants and the environment, and explains key bioscience techniques.
     
    -Year 2 allows you to undertake biochemistry practicals. It investigates food biochemistry and microbiology, immunology, and form and function in biosciences. Your second year also provides an introduction to pharmaceutical science, explores proteins, and looks at molecular and cellular bioscience.
     
    -You can choose to take an optional year-long work placement in your third year, or go directly to your final year which covers advanced pharmaceutical science, analytical and clinical biochemistry, and membrane structure and function. You also produce a research project of your choice in an area of biochemistry.
