    For September 2019 and September 2020 entry: 104 to 120 UCAS tariff points including 2 A-Levels or equivalent qualifications. BTEC Extended Diploma DMM. Excluded subjects: This course does not accept General Studies (unless accompanied by 2 A Levels or equivalent in appropriate subjects).



    If English is not your first language, you'll need IELTS (Academic) 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in writing, speaking, listening and reading.

    This degree has been developed to meet the demand for skilled, professionally competent, Design Engineers. It is accredited by the Institution of Engineering Designers (IED), meeting the academic requirement for Incorporated Engineer (IEng). With access to cutting-edge features including 3D scanners and printers, modern manufacturing & technical workshops and cutting-edge prototyping facilities, you’ll develop an expert technical knowledge, while being encouraged to think creatively about design problems.You'll discover how to use the latest solid modelling, rendering and product simulation tools to create and evaluate your own designs, as well as gaining an in-depth understanding of the engineering principles underlying the product development process. Designed to develop your abilities in this exciting area, the course content integrates technology, arts, market awareness and the skills needed to use advanced product development tools.
