Do you want to learn how to take the overall strategic management of technology-dependent processes within organisations? In the modern world, information technology has become essential to support the ongoing operations of virtually all businesses and organisations so effective application and management of technology is crucial for the success of every enterprise. Not only will you develop your IT skills, but you’ll also gain experience of the environment in which businesses operate, developing your strategic management and leadership skills in order to design, develop and implement technology solutions to improve business performance. On this The Chartered Institute for IT (BCS) accredited course you will learn how to bridge the gap between business needs and IT, gaining knowledge of a range of computing topics with a strong emphasis on business processes, requirements and management. Alongside this, you will also develop the exceptional communication and team-working skills that will enable you to work well with others, making you a very desirable employee upon graduation. Career opportunities can include roles such as business integrator, IT manager, IT project manager or digital project manager. This is one of eight undergraduate computing courses we offer at BU. As we understand that it can be difficult to know what area you’d like to specialise in, all of these courses share a common first year, giving you the time to really explore the subject before deciding on a specialism. You only need to apply for one of the courses in the framework and you will have the opportunity to change your final degree title during your study with us.
